After a few days on the beach things tend to get a little boring – scenery wise. This can be true at just about any vacation spot. You might start to lose some creativity and inspiration with your photographs, and even worse – your kids are tired of posing for you.
Your best bet is a change of scenery. Why not take them some place fun and kid friendly where they can run around and enjoy themselves, and you can get photographs of them just being kids. No poses, no forced smiles – just plain kids stuff.
For our change of scenery we visited the Annmarie Sculptor Garden & Arts Center in Southern Maryland. This was such a fun find, especially because they had a fairy house exhibit going on – which was right up my daughter’s alley. They also had an outdoor nature play scape where we spent the majority or our time, and even an indoor kid’s museum. The opportunities for photographs were plentiful. Pretty much every town has something that caters to kids, so do a little research and use it as a backup if things get stale.
