Back to school is here and among the checklist of things to do before school starts is of course buying school supplies. If you’re like me you’ve wait until the last minute every year, usually the weekend before the first day of school, you find yourself left few options and a headache.
This year, however, I was determined not to drive myself crazy last minute, and after receiving an aweseome tip from a friend, I headed to the local School and Office Supply Annex for an amazing deal. If you live in the Woodbridge, Virginia area and haven’t bought your school supplies yet I would suggest checking them out.
So here’s the deal:
- $20 for a prepackaged bag of your child’s school supplies
- The bags are packaged and organized by school, grade and gender.
- Keep your receipt and if you need to return anything they offer refunds (at least that’s what they said to me when there appeared to be a typo on the Lake Ridge Elementary school supply list for 4 packages dry erase markers. That’s 16 dry erase makers… What?
And to top it all off there were no grade/gender bags left for my two elementary school kids when I got there and the extremely helpful clerk grabbed a basked at put two bags together for me in less than 15 minutes while I comforted my grouchy 2 year old and my other kids played on their train table. What?? Talk about customer service.
I’ve used this store so many times in the past (mostly because they have a post office in the back) and I always tell myself I should come back to school shop and now I know where I’ll go from now on. There’s nothing better than supporting your local small businesses and getting your back to school list checked off in the process.
