Congratulations on your soon-to-arrive bundle of joy! This is such an exciting time in your life and what better way to capture these memories than with memorable portraits.

Documenting your pregnancy will be a great way to share these moments with your son or daughter in the future. If you are a little anxious do not worry!

I have worked with many pregnant mothers and my job will be to keep you comfortable and create gorgeous memories of this phenomenal time in your life. When To Schedule Your Maternity Session

Your maternity session should be scheduled around 30 weeks of pregnancy to make sure you are far enough along to have a round belly, but not too far along to be uncomfortable during the shoot.

What To Wear

Maternity sessions can be as casual or as elegant as you want them to be. Many moms choose to bring in a special everyday maternity outfit that portrays them in a natural and relaxed setting, and that is a great way to go if you are feeling self conscious about wearing one of our maternity dresses or bearing your belly for the camera. We just prefer that you take the opportunity to document this amazing time in your life that you will look back on fondly one day, no matter how you may feel at the moment.
We also encourage using one of our studio dresses or bringing your own for the moms that do want a more dramatic and portrait of their pregnancy. There is also the opportunity to try both styles and to see which portraits you love best at the gallery reveal.

Hair and Makeup

We highly recommend hiring our hair and makeup artist or using your own prior to your maternity session. A maternity session is the perfect opportunity to pamper yourself one last time before baby’s arrival and professional hair and makeup helps many moms feel more at ease in front of the camera. We do suggest also hiring hair and makeup for the newborn session as well to keep the images consistent if you plan to pair them in albums and in your wall art.
