Happy Father’s Day

From the Defender of All Things Sacred…

As I was photographing dad and the kids this weekend for Father’s Day, I caught a proud moment between my 6 year old son and our one year old. All I could do was laugh, and imagine what must have been going through his head.

“No! You will not ruin this moment for MOMMY.”

Yes, it’s Father’s day – but is it really? I think in my son’s head every day that involves a camera must be mommy’s day. The poor kid learned some lessons the hard way and has grown up knowing that “picture time is not playtime”… and don’t even think about touching the props. Oh how proud I am that he is willing to guide his siblings along the straight and narrow, lest they make his same mistakes… Happy Father’s Day from the defender of all things sacred {to mommy}.
